Managing Your Cards

The Cards section of your Nova account allows you to manage your virtual and physical payment cards from a single location.

The Cards section of your Nova account allows you to manage your virtual and physical payment cards from a single location.

Depending on your account and the services available to you, you can view card information, monitor activity, adjust settings, and manage the lifecycle of your cards.

Viewing Your Cards

The Cards section displays all payment cards associated with your account.

For each card, you may be able to view information such as:

  • Card type
  • Card status
  • Last four digits of the card number
  • Card nickname (if supported)
  • Expiration date

For security reasons, full card details may only be displayed after additional verification.

Viewing Card Details

Depending on your account and security settings, you may be able to securely access information including:

  • Card number
  • Expiration date
  • Security code (CVV)

Access to sensitive card information may require additional authentication.

Never share your card details unless you are making a trusted payment.

Freezing and Unfreezing a Card

If you temporarily do not wish to use a card, you may be able to freeze it.

While frozen:

  • New purchases are declined.
  • The card cannot be used for new transactions.
  • Existing authorized transactions may still be processed.

When you are ready to use the card again, you can unfreeze it at any time.

Freezing a card is useful if you have temporarily misplaced it or want to prevent new transactions.

Replacing a Card

You may need to replace a card if it has been:

  • Lost
  • Stolen
  • Damaged
  • Compromised
  • Expired

Depending on your account, replacement cards can be requested directly through the Nova platform.

A replacement card may have different card details from the original.

Closing a Card

If you no longer need a card, you may be able to permanently close it.

Before closing a card, ensure that:

  • Any recurring payments have been updated.
  • Pending transactions have been completed.
  • The card is no longer required.

Once closed, a card cannot usually be reactivated.

Reviewing Card Activity

Every transaction made with your card is recorded in your transaction history.

You can review:

  • Purchases
  • Refunds
  • ATM withdrawals
  • Declined transactions
  • Pending transactions

Regularly reviewing your card activity helps you identify unexpected or unauthorized transactions.

Card Notifications

Depending on your account settings, you may receive notifications for events such as:

  • Successful purchases
  • Declined transactions
  • ATM withdrawals
  • Online payments
  • Card status changes

Notification preferences can be managed from your account settings.
